Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day
On Wednesday March 29th, I co-sponsored a resolution commemorating the 50th anniversary of the US Withdrawal from the Vietnam War ending America's direct military involvement in the war. It was a beautiful day welcoming our American Vietnam War veterans and South Vietnamese military veterans into the House Chambers, the first time in state history.
This moment was deeply important to me as I am the son of a South Vietnamese army veteran and prisoner of war, I'm a refugee, and I'm the first person of Vietnamese descent to hold public office in Illinois. I would like to recognize the U.S. Marine Corps Veterans and Rep. Kifowit for leading the way and introducing HR104 to welcome home our Vietnam Veterans.

District Office Grand Opening
Thank you to everyone who came to our District Office opening event! It was truly a wonderful occasion, welcoming friends and community members from all over the district.
